PurseLink delivers the message — the money itself travels person-to-person through an app you and the other person both use. Pick one you have in common, and if you don't have it yet, it only takes a couple of minutes to set up.
Apple Cash isn't a separate app to download — it's built right into the iPhone and sends money inside the Messages app. Both people need an iPhone. It's available only in the U.S., there's no fee to send or receive, and you must be 18.
To turn it on, open Settings → Wallet & Apple Pay on your iPhone and switch on Apple Cash. Step-by-step from Apple →
One tip: make sure you and the other person use the same app — money sent on Venmo can only be received on Venmo, and so on.
